Box Channel Siding

This popular vertical siding comes in 4", 5", 6" and 8' widths in Cedar. Pine runs up to 10" widths. Another description for this is Reverse Board and Batton. It is 3/4" in thickness with a 3/8" lap joint. This "shiplap" joint forms an excellent seal on a building. It is available with the exposed face planed or with a band sawn finish, which is favoured since it readily accepts and holds stain.
Many clients have installed long lengths of 1" x 8" or 1" x 10" Pine horizontally, to reproduce the square timber log home. White chinking can even be used in the channel to further enhance the effect.
